About Us

Categories:

Greetings and welcome to Project IVLine. This blog was born to investigate and share information on health issues, clinical and biomedical sciences, technology and my experiences of medical education along the way. We also try to support local and multinational aid organisations where possible and would appreciate any assistance.

I hope you find the material both engaging and informative.

Aaron Sparshott (BSc)
Lead Writer/Editor

Aaron is currently in third year Medicine (MBBS) at the University of Queensland (UQ) and is working in the School of Biomedical Sciences at UQ. He graduated from St Peters Lutheran College in 2006, where upon he commenced a BE/BEcon at UQ. In this first year of university he noticed the benefits that engineering (through EWB projects and presentations) could deliver to developing communities, but felt that he wanted to get involved at a more personal level.  In 2009, after switching programs he graduated with a BSc majoring in Neuroscience & Biomedical Science.

Aaron partakes in a wide range of cultural, sporting and educational endeavours. He has been involved in UQ United Nations Student Association, assisted in the organisation of and participated in AMUNC 2009 as Entertainment Director and a delegate, and was the Human Resources Director in 2008 for a Young Achievement Australia business. In his spare time he likes to kick a football, have a good jam on his drums and ’chillax’ at the beach.
